STEPHANIE

Being a creative herself, she also believes in the value and potential of the arts in displaying God’s glory within and outside of the church.

Shortly after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Architecture at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Penang, the Lord called her to build His house instead at Penang House of Prayer (PenHOP). Stephanie was part of its staff and leadership team from 2015-2020 where she led the Burn Internship, a program dedicated to discipling the generations in worship and prayer. Having been raised as a worship leader in both the local church and the house of prayer, her heart is for worship in diverse expressions to arise, prioritising the heart over form.

JON CHO
Mentor / Songwriting

Jon serves as a Deacon in his home church and is part of the leadership team that oversees its Youth and Worship Ministry. He regularly serves on the worship team as a Worship Leader / guitarist, and will be stepping in as the head of the youth ministry in 2019.

Jon is self-taught in his playing of the guitar. He dabbles with the keyboard from time to time, but his first love is the drums. He is an alumnus of AG, from the Guitar (2016) and Songwriting stream (2017), and a Songwriting Student Mentor in 2018. Jon graduated from NUS (Law Faculty) with a Bachelor of Laws in 2012 and is a full-time legal practitioner.

Jon's desire is to see the generations grow in their hunger for His presence in their lives and in the world, until He comes again. His continued prayer is that every life that enters into this worshipping community will draw near and experience the presence of God in deeper ways, hear His voice in the secret place, and know His heart so fully, that they may carry and express it to the world around them so that all will know our God for who He really is.

Jon is slightly obsessive and compulsive when it comes to interior spaces - he deeply enjoys seeing the tables at McDonalds (or elsewhere) aligned neatly and takes to liberty in doing so at times. He is hardly seen without a cup of black coffee in his hand, but cannot be more different than his favourite drink as he is neither tall, dark, nor … bitter. Follow him @threechordfaith.
