Worship Leading
Lead with a pastoral heart.
Course overview
A holistic and highly immersive program that empowers students to thrive in their priestly calling and lead with authority and confidence as worship leaders serving in their local churches. Students will develop dexterity and adeptness in hosting an atmosphere of worship and learn to exercise their gifts with a pastoral heart, and prophetic ministry. Students can expect to grow to another level of leadership, skill in the musicianship of worship leading, and their depth of understanding of their roles as worship leaders.
Online study is available only to applicants based outside Singapore.
The 2027 programme includes a live album recording in July. Participation is compulsory for all Vocals and Worship Leading students.

Course topics are subject to change at the trainer’s discretion.
Entry requirements
Ability to pitch accurately, demonstrating dynamics in vocal tone, resonance and engagement.
This stream is designed for experienced and strong vocalists. If you are unsure of your vocal ability, you are strongly encouraged to apply for the Vocals stream as a foundation in your first year at Awaken Generation.
Audition requirements
Submit one video containing both parts:
- Sing one audition song with basic instrumental accompaniment (e.g. guitar or piano) or a minus-one backing track.
- Then sing the chorus of the same song a cappella, without instruments.

Show your full vocal ability
- Enlist another musician to accompany you so you can focus on singing.
- Sing with the engagement and energy you would use when leading a congregation.
- Choose a suitable key that demonstrates your vocal range.
