About our Speaker
Alarice Thio is a worship leader, songwriter, and co-founder of Awaken Generation. Born in New Zealand to Singaporean parents, she grew up across seven nations and now carries a heart to see worshippers awakened across Asia.
After releasing three albums as a singer-songwriter, she stepped into full-time worship ministry in 2010. At 28, she co-founded Awaken Generation with her husband Calvin.
Alarice has written and co-written over 80 worship songs now sung across churches in Singapore and the region. She mentors worship leaders, songwriters, and vocalists in the Awaken Generation school, raising up the next generation of worshippers.
Clean hands, pure hearts
The call to "clean hands and a pure heart" hits differently when we realise it's not about earning God's favour, but about receiving what He's already declared over us. As worship leaders, we need to know that holiness means being "set apart"—chosen by God. And this is not achieved through our own effort. This humbles us to lead with freedom!
Let’s reflect:
Am I still thinking of myself more as a sinner than as a new creation? Do I believe I can actually walk in the power and inheritance as a worshipper?
We can boldly approach Him with clean hands and a pure heart because of the blood of Jesus.

About Awaken Generation
We are a worship missions organisation based in Singapore with a vision to raise up a generation of worship leaders, ‘musicianaries’, songwriters, and creatives to impact the nations for Christ with the power of the gospel through worship and music.
We believe the starting point of a missions movement is worship and prayer, central to the awakening of the Church and the mighty harvest (Matthew 9:37-38) that is to come.
We run a 8-month, part-time worship and music mentorship programme designed for students to grow not only in music excellence, but also in character while being personally mentored in a community of creatives.
